The computer parts have been ordered. I even threw Fallout 3 in for good measure…although it’s not due out until later this month. I can’t wait to get the parts and start putting the computer together.

Today is Dominic’s first birthday. See the pictures below from his little party. When it is said that “they grow up too fast” it is not just a saying. It makes me sad. I remember when it dawned on me that Ryan is getting to be a big boy. I think I just started to cry. You love it so much when they are little babies and they hit so many milestones almost daily. With milestones like their first word, first step, first tooth it seems like there is a present for you each day to get excited about. You become ultra proud of their progress. Once you let go of that feeling you realize that it continues. Ryan has a whole new set of milestones he reaches periodically. While he passed the first word milestone many moons ago there are new twists to that milestone. Like the first time he really realizes what I was saying and then starts exclaiming “crap!”. Or the beloved question of “where do babies come from?” Not all of the new milestones are as exciting as maybe the baby firsts but the new milestones usually make you laugh a lot.

Prediction: Dominic is going to be a heavy metal guitarist. It seems his first instinct when hearing any type of music is to start banging his head. Sometimes I make the sound of a grinding heavy guitar chugging away, Dominic will hold onto whatever is near him and start bobbing his head as if he were at a show standing in the front row.
