We are slowly digging out all the tools from my grandfather’s place. He was a well known carpenter that appears to have collected any tool he came across. Two of his tool boxes that I went through could supply a small hardware store. It’s amazing. I worked with a router for the first time yesterday. I think it’s my favorite tool. I built a little wooden holder for all the chisels I found.

We went back to Pop Pop’s place to try and get other valuables out just in case something happened. It was difficult to walk down the sidewalk this time because you know he is not going to be there to greet you when you come to the door. I looked around and flashed back to the times he would walk you around the garden looking at all the vegetables and picking a few select ones to eat on the spot. My mom’s plan is to build a house on the property and keep the garden going. Over the past season he taught her everything he knows about gardening. I’m glad he got to enjoy it for one last season.
