Dinner Club
We had our first Dinner Club at the Shreves house. Everything went great. The food was very good, Tom grilled steaks, one of the families made green bean casserole, and Sue made Potatoes 21. Each of the 4 families brought brownies. The kids all had a great time playing together even though it was overcast and rainy. Whether they were outside running around, playing on the trampoline, playing ping pong or just sitting in the living room playing with toys, we all had a lot of fun. I think it helps that everyone was amped up on brownies.
Prior to our trip we stopped in at the hospital to see Pop Pop, Jullie, Kirena and my mom. Everyone seemed in good spirits which normally happens when the kids get together. Pop Pop was not looking so good but he appeared to be somewhat alert. Just before we left we were saying our good-byes when out of no where Pop Pop opened his eyes, looked at me holding Dominic and said “He looks like his father.” before going back to sleep.
Today Brittany came over to observe Dominic for her school work. She did some monitoring of Dominic and playing with Ryan. The purpose of the observation was to see if the child was doing the things a 10 month old should be doing. I’m very curious of what results she comes up with.
